You can file a Found Pet Report in the following ways:
Step 1: Check to see if the pet has a collar tag indicating a microchip registry; if the microchip number is visible, please enter the 9, 10 or 15-digit code in the Microchip field below. If the search is successful, follow the instructions for contact. If the pet is registered with PetLink, you can file a Found Pet Report.
Step 2: If the pet has a collar tag indicating a microchip registry that includes a toll-free number, call that number to file a Found Pet Report. If the pet’s collar includes the owner’s contact information, we recommend that you also call the owner ASAP.
Step 3: If the pet has no identification, you can bring the pet to the nearest vet or animal shelter. They can scan the pet to see if it has a microchip, and can assist in other ways to locate the pet’s owner
Step 4: You can call PetLink for assitance at 1-877-PETLINK (1-877-738-5465)
