Home after 4 days on the Lam

Friday was found after 4 days of being in the lam. She found her way back into the garage and was holed up in a corner. She was hungry, thirsty, dusty and unbothered by the whole situation! While we didn’t need her microchip this time, it was a huge comfort knowing that we would be…

8 Years Later

So just wanted to share a story that PetLink microchips made possible: 8 years ago, my mom died and the step family took her 3 dogs in middle of the night and went from Utah to Washington DC. They took my mom’s 2 Shih Tzus, Scooter and Shawnee, and a Poodle named Chloe.  Fast-forward 8…

Never Give up Hope

My dog Dale was taken by an aide sent by a local agency to take care of my husband after a total ankle replacement, in March 2023. I made flyers and sent them to every vet and dog groomer in the county, reported his microchip stolen immediately, contacted animal services and had his license flagged…

Six days and 70 miles later…

Almost a week after disappearing, I got a message from PetLink that our dog had been found on my birthday! Best birthday ever! She was found running in traffic over an hour away. We’ll never know how she got there, but we wouldn’t have ever found her again without PetLink and the absolute angel that…

Pip’s Big Run

Pip is an English Setter who loves to run. We have had several weeks of unusually warm weather here which has prevented us from letting her run and getting as much exercise as usual. As a result, she developed a rather extreme case of ‘Cabin Fever’ and she escaped to chase a deer. Since I…

Lost not Lost

On 07/11/24 around 6:30 pm we could not find Bentley for almost 2 hours. We walked around the yard and neighbor looking and calling for him, then we contacted PetLink to report him lost. We continued to drive the neighborhood and checked with neighbors; still nothing. My daughter and I went in the house to…

Shepherds and fireworks don’t mix

Friday July 5th at 10pm, my daughter walked outside holding Myla (without her collar or leash) and suddenly neighbors started shouting off fireworks right beside our house. Myla panicked scratching her way loose and shot off like a bullet down the street. Within seconds she disappeared!  We desperately looked for her for hours but couldn’t…

Angels in disguise

We took our sweet girl on a trip 3 hours from home to the car racetrack. The first night was fine, but on the second day, as soon as the race car fired, our girl ran off. For 5 days and countless hours of walking in the woods, posting on all social media sites, and…

Benefits of Microchipping Your Pet

Microchipping your pet has several benefits. Microchips are permanent – after they are implanted, your dog or cat will never need to have it removed or replaced. Microchips do not use any power source or connectivity, so they will always be able to be scanned under any conditions. Microchips are inexpensive and easy to implant into your pet by a veterinarian. The procedure is also swift and generally painless.

Unfortunately, it is very common for a lost pet to be found without a name tag on their collar. This often leads to pets being placed in shelters, hoping their owner will find them. Unlike tags and collars, microchips cannot fall out, break, get lost, etc. No matter what your pet does or where it goes, the microchip will stay safely implanted under its skin. When a pet has a microchip, it can be scanned by a veterinarian or animal shelter, regardless of the condition the pet is in. Microchips are the quickest and easiest way to identify lost animals and return them to their owners.

What Happens When Your Pet Has Been Found & Reported

When a PetLink chip is scanned in a found pet, the owner gets notified immediately. To get in touch as quickly as possible, the registered owner will receive, texts, phone calls, and emails from PetLink right away. Once PetLink gets connected with the pet owner, arrangements can be made to return the pet safely back to its family.

Giving You Peace of Mind

We understand how important pets are to their owners– many consider their animals as members of their family. Naturally, pet owners worry about their pet’s safety and well-being. Microchipping your pet is one of the easiest and most essential steps you can take to keep your animal safe.

PetLink significantly reduces the risk of permanently losing a pet, providing our members with peace of mind knowing we will assist in bringing their lost pets home. We encourage you to read our microchip success stories, which highlight how microchipping not only alleviates owners’ worries but also provides comfort to pets. A microchip registered at PetLink ensures lost pets are quickly reunited with their families, avoiding prolonged stress in shelters and offering great relief for both pets and their owners.
