After six hours of looking for our Australian Shepherd, Ostler, my wife and I were about to give up for the night. We had contacted PetLink who acted as support while Ostler was gone. We posted flyers about Ostler around the area and called our neighbors, all to no avail. I was standing at my front porch when I heard a small bark. I knew that was Ostler’s bark so I immediately called out for him but nothing … I ran into the house, grabbed a flashlight and began looking under our front deck which was no more than four feet off the ground. Somehow, this 55lb goofball had got under the deck and was stuck! Needless to say, I began taking the deck apart and after I’d spent about 30 minutes of pulling the boards up, Ostler was free and finally back in our arms. He was very hungry and thirsty and didn’t leave our side all night long.
