My dog, Oz, learned how to open the gate to the back yard and got out three times in the same day! I wasn’t at home on campus where I study, I was in town. I got a call from the person who found him. She found my number through his PetLink microchip. She took him to the conveniently located Vet School on campus where there is a teaching animal hospital for clinical work.
When I got home there were lots of messages saying where he was. Later that day it happened again but I realized what he was up to and got him back quickly. Now, needless to say, the gate is fixed.
My best advice is that, if you have a pet, get it microchipped with PetLink. Their chips save lives. Read more
