Me and my family were getting ready to go somewhere. My beagle Jenny is allowed to run around the house cause she’s a good dog – no messes. We were all going out through different doors, the side door and the front door. One of them can’t have closed properly. We left to go swimming in Omaha. When we got out of the pool, I saw missed phone calls from PetLink and the town animal control. They had my dog in their possession three miles away from where we live, on the other side of town, close to a highway. But I was still at the pool in Omaha 40 minutes away and we didn’t want Jenny impounded for the whole weekend. So I called my aunt, who went by my house and saw the front door wide open. She called the cops but when they came nothing was stolen. My aunt went to collect Jenny who has no collar. The microchip was the key to her identity. I don’t think I ever would have found my pet if I didn’t get her microchipped.
