Here in Oklahoma, they engage in fireworks for the New Year, but while we were visiting, our dog, Bandit, who is frightened of loud noises, got disoriented and ran away. Fortunately, a motorist saw him running on the highway and rescued him. Our rabies tag listed Florida as our home and the savior called the Florida vet, who was able to bring up the details of the PetLink microchip and track us OK. Bandit was retrieved after a cold night, much to my joy. Thanks to the good Samaritan.
