PetLink Lost Pet Database: Chiclet
Circumstances
On our drive northbound on I-35, we stopped briefly at the Hillsboro, TX rest area for a bathroom break. It was extremely cold, and the stop lasted about ten minutes. Because of the cold, we left the truck doors unlocked to get back on the road quickly. We travel often with our animals and believed Chicklet was sleeping in her usual spot inside the truck. When we arrived in Little Elm, TX, we discovered she was missing. We immediately returned to the rest area, searched, and spoke with staff, then returned again the following afternoon. We have contacted local vets, shelters, and posted in a Hillsboro Facebook group. Because the doors were unlocked, we fear someone may have taken her. Chicklet is deeply loved and missed.
