Out cat, Scootch, went out for his usual quick outing out of the front of our house Friday at 2:15 p.m. I expected to call him back in after 30 minutes. He was not around when I went to get my kids from the bus stop, so I thought maybe he had come back inside when my husband was unloading groceries. Scootch is 18 years old, very thin due to cancer. I feed him about 6 times a day as he is mostly on gravy food, and when I noticed that he wasn’t dancing around my feet needing to be fed around 4 p.m., I knew something was wrong. We searched the house first and then started searching the neighborhood. We did not stop until 11 p.m. and then had sporadic searching at 2 a.m., 4 a.m., 6 a.m., and then started in the morning again. It was about 35 degrees that night and we were thinking he wouldn’t have made it. We felt maybe he had gone off to die. We kept searching though thinking maybe we could find his body. My 6 year old boy/girl twins were devastated.

My husband got a call from an animal clinic in the town over from ours on Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. Someone had seen him Friday afternoon in our next door neighbor’s yard and thought he was lost and would not make it through the cold. They kept him all weekend and brought him to the clinic on Monday morning. The chip was scanned and we were notified. It worked like a charm! So he didn’t run off, he just looked lost and someone thought he needed help.

Thank you very much for your product!
