My dog, Romeo, escaped from the backyard due to an undiscovered rotten fence board. A neighbor several houses down from mine saw Romeo in his yard. He kept him overnight and took him to the closest vet (which is, luckily, our vet) and they scanned him. The vet called me immediately. Also, the Polk County Sheriff Department called me also as they too have Romeo’s PetLink information on file. They received an email that he had been scanned and contacted me to see if I was aware of his disappearance. What a great service; I was hoping to never use it, but I am thrilled at the quick response!
