Our dog Elmo got lost on the night of July 4 at my parents’ house, scared by the fireworks. We never thought that Elmo would run off like that because he is almost always kept within our premises and, even if he did run off, he would always find his way back to us when we called for him. Our children were desperately looking for their dog overnight and the next morning but with no luck. We were so afraid that Elmo had been hit by a moving vehicle since he is a small dog and likes to run across the street.
Luckily, the next afternoon, we were notified by PetLink via email and text that someone had found Elmo and taken him to the nearby Animal Care and Control Shelter. We were elated by the news and so grateful that we had had Elmo chipped when we first adopted him! I strongly encourage every pet owner to put a chip in their pet. Thank you, PetLink.
