Bennie, my Australian Collie, is very smart and a great dog. He goes wherever I go. Recently, there was a celebration and people in the neighborhood were shooting fireworks. The noise made Bennie really skittish and he started running. We looked everywhere but couldn’t find him and he was missing overnight. The next day, through PetLink, we found our mischievous friend. I’m thankful for the chip for reuniting me with my little buddy. It worked perfectly – Yea!
We don’t cage Bennie, he’s a breed that likes to run in the rural, wooded area where we live. This can lead to people thinking he’s wild. Just a few weeks ago, before Bennie ran off, my son saw someone grab him from right in front of our house. My son followed the man to the Humane Society and said, “That’s my dog.” The microchip was proof.
