Abby is our son Steven’s dog. Steven went camping with Abby, a Golden Retriever, here in Arizona and, while he and his friends were setting up camp, Abby bolted into the forest. They looked for her the whole weekend, but couldn’t find her. Steven was devastated, especially knowing she was out in the elements. We kept checking the local Humane Society to no avail. About three weeks later, we received a call from a veterinary hospital. They stated that a man had brought Abby in to be checked for a chip. She did, of course, have the chip and that is how they found us. It turns out that, around two weeks after she went missing, a family saw her. They took her to the local fire station and the firemen there took care of Abby for about a week. When his shift was done, one of the firemen, named Gary, brought her home with him. He took her to the vet hospital and got her scanned for the chip.
If it wasn’t for all the caring people involved and the microchip, Steven would have never gotten Abby back. We totally recommend the chip!! Abby is in great shape! It was a wonderful reunion! After a few days of her going missing we thought we would never see her again!! Everyone is amazed she is at home now. Needless to say, Abby is happy being together again with us too!!
