I never thought microchipping your dog would actually work. I mean, who would take the time to look up the owners of a lost animal, that wasn’t even theirs to worry about? That was my view until one very windy night when our backyard door swung open and we found ourselves dog-less! As we realized our beautiful Doberman Pinscher, Ginger, had run away, my children’s eyes teared up. We spent two hours then driving around, searching for Ginger. My heart broke when I thought that Ginger would never be found.
When the phone rang saying that someone had found Ginger and that PetLink had located us using her chip, I was just so relieved! The knowledge that Ginger had been found and that someone was nice enough to care for her and make the effort to reunite us with her was heart-warming. We couldn’t be happier now that Ginger is safe back in our home. Thank you PetLink, and thank you to the nice, caring people who are willing to take the time to look after someone else’s pet.
