My cat, Mena, is a rescue that I took in and registered with PetLink so I could always find her. I had forgotten something on the stove one night and had gone to bed. Mena awoke me, crying loudly at my bedroom door in the early hours of the morning and I found the entire house filled with smoke, including my bedroom. I had rescued her and she now had rescued me – just in time!
