One morning on my way the garage, I found Lady, a Labrador Retriever, lying down sleeping. She was very skinny, hungry and thirsty. The following morning I took her to the vet’s for a check up and to make sure she didn’t have a forever home. I discovered that Lady already had a microchip but that instead of being registered to an owner she was still registered to the rescue service of animal control. The vet told me that Lady had escaped from them. Lady’s PetLink microchip allowed me to locate her origin after which I was able to claim her as my new four-legged girl. I was given the option of taking Lady to a new home or sending her back to animal control. I decided to bring her home and am looking forward to many, many years together 🙂
