When she got away, we searched until midnight for our dog, Liebe. I had only let her out of my sight for twenty seconds. If Liebe finds something to chase she becomes absolutely unconscious to the rest of the world and her sense of direction to find her way home becomes incoherent.
Someone dropped Liebe at the vet the next morning where her tags identified her and my wife picked her up. We may have been reunited with Liebe without recourse to scanning her microchip but that is only a maybe. Knowing Liebe had the chip gave us hope while she was lost and in future would make the return of a lost pet efficient and positive. Thank you!
