We were setting up a going away party for my friend, Sadie, who was leaving for Navy boot camp. I am temporarily looking after her Dachshund, Finnz. I’ve had him for three months, he’s pretty cool. As we prepared the party, Finnz saw a cat and chased it into another neighborhood. He was gone a few hours.
An elderly couple saw he was loose and unattended and grabbed him to take care of him. Unfortunately, between their eyesight and the small print on Finnz’s tag, they couldn’t read the details. So, they took Finnz to the vet where he was scanned and the microchip showed Sadie’s contact information. That’s how we were reunited!
