One day, three years ago, a heavy snowfall of four inches made it possible for our English Springer Spaniel, Molly, to get out of our fenced-in yard. We live very close to the interstate, which is as far as Molly and a buddy dog got when she was hit by a car. The other dog wouldn’t leave her or get in the car of the police officer who found them until Molly was placed in there.
Molly was taken to a vet’s clinic and scanned. Her microchip showed she was on the PetLink database so the vet was able to ask PetLink to contact us. This was so important because Molly had suffered a broken hip and the vet could ask our permission to start Molly’s treatment for surgery while they waited for us to get there! Molly’s GREAT and back with us all because of her chip! They didn’t need to look at her collar to see the name tag, they just scanned her! THANKS SOOO MUCH!!!
