Chumley, Chumley … I just don’t know what he chose to run off for. He has done this twice. The first time he did it, he was found by someone who dropped him off at the shelter. Chumley was there for about a week. I called the shelter to ask if they had a Pug and they said yes. Not thinking it would be Chumley, but hoping it was, I went to see. There he was – for sure, it was him! I asked the shelter if he could be identified through the microchip I bought for him. They said he didn’t have one but it turned out they were having problems reading it.
I knew where Chumley’s chip was put in and so, this second time he ran off, thank goodness the shelter equipment worked and read his chip number. I went to bail him out, just like his daddy. Thanks to PetLink, Chumley is home with us again.
