Domino the escape artist came to us from a Second Chance ‘no kill’ shelter. Initially, it was our friend who adopted him but his work hours and Domino’s energy levels didn’t match up and we got him second hand. He’s very spirited but doesn’t like it when we leave. One day we left him with our other dogs in the yard. Must have been when he heard the car leaving he started to dig his way under the fence. It was just a five-minute trip to the store, but when we came back – he was missing. We didn’t know much about Domino’s history so we asked at the shelter where he was first adopted. That’s when we found out, not only is he the friendly, precocious little dog we know and love and who likes to follow people around, but that he had already got out on several previous owners! After five hours of looking for him lots of people said they had sighted a black Boston Terrier. Still we came home so worried we couldn’t trace him and our four children were heartbroken. Next day, I was looking for him for two or three more hours. I contacted shelters in the area and was on the way to double check them when my husband got a text message from PetLink. Within 10 minutes I had gone to get Domino from the shelter.
