Sawyer is 1 1/2 years old and loves to play with his pal across the street, Remi. Yesterday, September 13, 2022, Sawyer and Remi noticed another dog pass the picket fence, they interacted but I guess they left too soon for Sawyer as he squeezed through two of the slats in the fence.  The dog owner only stopped for a few minutes and then continued on his way, even though Sawyer was chasing after them. I got into my car and followed him for 3 blocks, where he crossed a busy intersection and then I lost sight of him. I walked the neighborhood and then drove around but no luck. Sawyer has gotten out in the past but has always returned within minutes. When he didn’t return I knew someone had probably grabbed him. I called our local Humane Society and due to the hour had to leave a detailed message. At 9:30pm I received a call from the local Humane Society saying they had Sawyer and due to having been chipped they were able to locate me. I have never been so happy to hear he was found. I picked him up today, Wednesday, September 14, 2022 and bailed him out. He slept most of the day.
