Our Chihuahua, Frannie, slipped her collar as I was getting a neighbor’s dog that had gotten out of her fence. So, I managed to grab their dog but lost mine.
In fact, this time the chip wasn’t scanned because the person who found Frannie saw our posters first. However, she did tell me that, before seeing our poster, she had planned to take Frannie to the vet to be scanned first thing Monday morning.
Knowing that Frannie was registered with PetLink helped keep us feeling positive that, even though she didn’t have her collar on, someone would be able to contact us, all because of that teeny, tiny chip.
