Our indoor cat, Gandalf the Grey, got out and ran away. Gandalf was gone for two months, a period during which we were very worried. All that time, it really helped that Gandalf had a PetLink microchip as it gave me hope that our cat might be found and returned to us. We borrowed a neighbor’s trap, and caught a raccoon three times before we got the cat. And if the trap hadn’t done the trick, the microchip would still be a reassuring beacon.
