My whole family spent all Thanksgiving day looking for our runaway cat Emily, crawling through bushes and bothering our neighbors. We were up all night flashing lights into bushes. We went out this morning again and talked to the neighbors some more. About 9:30 this morning, the kids turned around and there she was in their bedroom! The front door had been left open in the hope that Emily would be able to wander in – and she did just that, as though nothing had happened! Now Emily is bouncing off the furniture as usual. Where she was, we will never know, but we did make some new neighborhood friends, and even made an older couple’s Thanksgiving with a leftover meal!
