I am a US diplomat. Juti (pronounced “Hootie”) is from Guatemala where I was stationed in 2007. He has traveled the world with me, from Guatemala to Athens Greece and even Islamabad, Pakistan. But when I was posted to Baghdad, Iraq, Juti could not go with me. I left him in the care of my daughter in law in Houston Texas and took the precaution of registering her phone number and address with Petlink before I left on assignment. I also ordered a Petlink tag but unfortunately I forgot to put his collar on. So apparently Juti slipped out of the fence and was exploring the neighborhood when a kind neighbor picked him up. With no collar tags she took him to a nearby vet who scanned his microchip and called my daughter in law. He was home before I even knew about it. Petlink sent me an email that he had been found and I immediately called my daughter in law who reassured me he was safe and sound. I miss Juti so much and I simply couldn’t bear losing him. I am so grateful.
