When my Siberian Husky, Bella, ran off, I had recently had surgery so I was unable to drive around looking for her. I was a stressed-out mess! However, knowing that Bella was microchipped helped keep me calm. Luckily, just at the moment that Bella was being picked up by a dog-catcher, a friend of mine happened to be driving by and noticed what was going on with my Bella-bear! My friend returned Bella home to me safely. I do know, though, that even if my friend had not been around at exactly the right time, the dog-catcher would have brought Bella to the pound or a vet, she would have been scanned and I would have been contacted. I certainly don’t regret getting a microchip!
