Many years ago, I had a cat I rescued from the SPCA who became my ultimate companion, my best buddy, the truest friend a person could have. After ten fantastic years together, he got out during a move, ahead of an approaching hurricane and I never saw him again. Countless ‘Lost cat’ flyers were posted and I went door to door sobbing, begging the new neighbors to keep their eyes out for him. My heart was broken.
It’s been over a decade since that happened and, until recently, I didn’t think I’d ever have that bond again with another animal. Then I met Ned, or, to give him his full title, Lord Eddard Starke, who was patiently waiting at the local animal shelter for his furr-ever home. He had just the right kind of charm and charisma and immediately ingratiated himself into the family and made my heart grow bigger. I had Ned microchipped so that I NEVER have to endure that kind of heartbreak and not-knowing again. So, thanks for this system, PetLink and for the little piece of peace of mind it brings!
