My Russian Blue, Susie, came up after being missing for four months. I already gave up to the fact she was gone forever. In June the SPCA near where I live called to tell me poor little Susie had been boarded up in a house for four months but she was alive. Dehydrated, hungry and covered in fleas she came to the person who found and rescued her. She is a door-darter and always slips to the outside but she came quietly and has recovered beautifully.
As soon as the SPCA found Susie’s chip and called PetLink, I got an email from PetLink and Susie was returned home to me the very next day. She has since escaped again, but with her microchip I know that when she is located again she will be returned. Susie was born outside and still has the instinct to go out but comes back unless, for some reason, like being trapped in a house, she can’t. Thank you, PetLink.
