Our Jack Russell Terrier, Sam, decided to embark on a little adventure. I was up until 2 a.m. leaving messages at local shelters, Animal Control, posting ads online, updating Sam’s PetLink profile and putting up fliers. This morning, I got a call and found out Sam had been taken in by Animal Control! It appears that he ran into a bit of trouble, as he has a few injuries.
Sam’s tags were not up to date but PetLink’s microchip helped to establish that he does, indeed, belong to our family! Knowing there was an outside awareness after putting up the ‘lost’ status on PetLink helped give me some kind of assurance. I knew that it was an enduring way to not only give his catcher a sure way to have PetLink contact me, but also, to ensure no one else could take ownership. A chip lasts forever!
