I was out of town working on the East Coast and my husband was travelling. While we were away there was lots of construction going on at our house. My mother and daughter were in the house with our Shar-Pei, Maggi, and we think Maggi decided to go for a little walk when one of the contractors left the gate open. She was only missing for an hour and was no further than the adjacent street. Because she suffers from allergies Maggi can’t wear a collar. She’s such a unique-looking dog that the people who found her knew she belonged to someone and called Pet Control. Fortunately, the PetLink microchip not only identified Maggi and got her back, it also flagged up her allergies so she was fed carefully for the brief period she was looked after.
