I have to say I have amazing friends. Lily and my other dog Diego got out of the yard after I left for work on January 23 I got a phone call from the police department telling me she was hit by a car and ran off. My husband and I looked all around the neighborhood for hours, called the animal shelters and vet hospitals several times. We were out of luck. The pound had picked up Diego, who was identified through his microchip, but there was no sign of Lily. The next morning I was printing flyers and several of my great friends came to help. We went door to door handing out flyers. I had gone to pick Diego up from the SPCA and, while I was gone, my friends found her in a neighbor’s yard. They rushed her to the vet and I met them there. She was a little cut up and has a fractured pelvis but she will be back to new in about six weeks. I was so happy. When we all finally got to see her after all the X-rays, needless to say, we were all in tears. Happy tears. This picture was taken at the vet’s.
My best advice is that, if you have a pet, get it microchipped with PetLink. Their chips save lives. Read more
