Chance went missing once for a day and we were reunited through his microchip. When Chance went missing again, we put up posters and sent prayers that the microchip would work again…
Five years later, a vet called and asked me if I was missing something. Tears welled in my eyes after they said the name ‘Chance’ because, then, I knew he’d been found. I picked Chance up from the vet and brought him home. They had told me he had throat cancer and so I only had a little bit more time with him. Chance is now buried in my back yard where his memory will live on.
