My family had just moved to housing on a Marine Corps base. I let our dogs Chopper and Hambone out to feed them breakfast and didn’t realize that the side gate’s latch was broken. Both Chopper, a Golden Retriever and Hambone, a Labrador Retriever, were able to get out. Luckily, a good Samaritan was driving by and saw the dogs. This lady picked them up and took them to the vet to have their microchips scanned. After the vet made contact with me, she was able to bring the dogs back home to us. What makes Chopper special is that he belongs to my son. My little boy is four years old and when Chopper took off he was in tears. Without the microchip my son wouldn’t have ever gotten his dog back. The whole family is thankful.
