First thing in the morning, I’m getting ready for work, I open the back door, go on the computer, I check the weather, have coffee, I’m running late. Charlie’s a really good dog but I look round the unfenced yard and he’s nowhere to be found. My 14-year-old son sleeps late so he went out looking all day and couldn’t find him. At five minutes to five I get a call from PetLink and then transferred to a vet on the other side of town. They say ‘Yep, we got Charlie here’. He’d gone quite a ways, over a mile and a half. The vet said he’d spent the afternoon in the cage, he wouldn’t eat or drink anything and looked scared. ‘Go find your dad’ they told Charlie when I got there and I told him ‘Am I glad to see you!’ Charlie was already chipped, had shots and was neutered when I got him. I had him around three to four months and I didn’t think much about his microchip but I’m very impressed how well it works. PetLink is outstanding. Amazing. I’m keeping a closer tab on the back door.
