Bandit, our Border Collie, disappeared from our yard with his electric fence collar on. We’re not sure how he got away but he traveled 25 miles from home before being spotted and taken to an animal shelter. He wasn’t very cooperative with the staff to have his chip scanned but a posted picture from the animal shelter made it to me to confirm that it was my dog that they were holding. I called PetLink after Bandit went missing and updated my information so that if he was found and his chip scanned, I could be called immediately. When I picked Bandit up and he was in my arms, not a stranger’s, we were able to scan his microchip to verify he was my dog and it was working just fine.
