Our cat, Jinx, escaped from unfamiliar surroundings two days after he was chipped with a PetLink chip. He was missing for a couple of months. Then, one day, I got a call from the local vet telling me they had scanned a cat that came up with my information. I was able to contact the people who found him and get Jinx returned. I know the people who found Jinx loved him and hated to give him up but they did the right thing. I am so appreciative toward them both for taking excellent care of Jinx and for being honest and forthright with me. We all acknowledged that, without the PetLink chip, no one would have ever known who Jinx’s owners were!
