Our cat, Bo, was allowed to leave our apartment by a friend who needed a place to stay. What happened for the next fifteen months we will never know! We do know we spent countless hours looking for Bo, posting ‘Lost Pet’ posters, talking to everyone in the neighborhood and a full, one-mile circle around our home. No luck.
A whole fifteen months later, a new resident on the next block noticed a scrawny black cat in her backyard. She wanted to adopt him so she picked him up and took him to her vet. The vet scanned for the chip … and the rest is history. Did having a microchip help? ABSOLUTELY!
