Unbeknownst to us, our cat, Raven, hid in the undercarriage of our car and travelled with us from Waseca MN to Rochester MN. She evidently hopped out after our vehicle was parked en route, and was found by a nearby family. They took Raven to a vet, who looked her over and checked for a chip. The family called us, and on talking to them my husband found out that their young daughter really, really liked Raven. We asked if she would like to keep Raven, and so now our former feline has a new home! Raven was a stray that had wandered up to our home so we took her to our vet after she had stayed around for a couple of weeks. We had Raven spayed and microchipped, as are our dogs, and she shared a spot in our garage with our other cat, Pumpkin, who is also microchipped. This story has a very happy ending, as Raven has become an inside cat, which all cats long for, and she has a little girl to play with her.
