One day when I woke up, Bernie was missing. Bernie is my male cat, an Orange Tabby. Bernie is an indoor/outdoor cat and the only outdoor cat I have ever had. Bernie was raised that way. I would never let my own cats out. I got him when he was six or seven and have had him for seven years now. My cats just love him and he brings them presents like mice and moles. When he went missing we were all upset. Because Bernie goes in and out from our house, someone thought he was lost, picked him up and took him to a shelter ten miles away – there is no way he could have gone that far on his own.
Thankfully, County Animal Control scanned him, called me six days later and I was able to collect him. Without PetLink, I don’t know if I would have been able to get Bernie back. Thank goodness I had him microchipped or I might not have been reunited with him. He’s home, he’s happy and we’re all happy too. Thank you for helping, PetLink!
