We had just moved to Arlington and Maggie figured out how to jump a 6ft-tall brick wall by clawing up it. We watched her try to jump it – it’s a security wall around the house – but we had no idea she’d be able to do that. We’d only been here a couple of weeks so no one would have known her if they saw her and we wouldn’t know where she would go. She got out onto a busy road and some people picked her up and took her to the Fire Department, who took her to the Humane Society. Our other dog wasn’t chipped so we got it done and we don’t leave her out in the back yard anymore. We are very happy we got Maggie back. If she hadn’t had the chip we wouldn’t have gotten her back. It was the best decision we ever made.
