Lucy is FOUND! LA Animal Control phoned to tell me that they may have my Whippet, LucyLu, but couldn’t deliver her to me because where I live was outside their jurisdiction. The officer got me in touch with the finder and kindly followed up to ensure that LucyLu got delivered safely home. Lucy had been hit by a car around midnight … RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE FINDER’S HOUSE!
The thoughtful young man took LucyLu into his home and spent the next day taking her to vets who would not treat her injuries. LucyLu’s PetLink ID linked to Animal Control when she was scanned. It provided them with the opportunity to get my phone number through PetLink and confirmed ownership. It happened so fast – I put up a notice online in the morning to say she was lost and we and we were reunited early evening.
