I am very pleased with PetLink services – because of this link I was able to recover my dog, not once, but twice. Meko, my Husky, got out of our yard and, I later learned, was turned in to the Humane Society. However, when I called the Humane Society to see if Meko had been retrieved, I was told that my dog had not been turned in. I would call everyday but to no avail – I was told repeatedly that my dog was not there. After about two weeks I received a phone call from a vet. I was told that this animal doctor scanned Meko and discovered that the Humane Society had put a new chip in Meko and put him up for adoption. When the new owner brought Meko into the vet to get shots, the vet could not detect the Humane Society microchip but sure enough Meko’s original PetLink-registered chip was detected. The vet was surprised that the Humane Society had missed the fact that Meko had a chip already and baffled as to why their new chip did not show. The PetLink-registered chip showed up each time the vet scanned Meko. Had it not been for PetLink, I would have never been reunited with my dog.
