Our Boxer, Nala, got out because someone didn’t close the gate all the way! She decided to take herself for a walk and make new friends. Eventually, she did find some and, in fact, made the best friend any dog could have – a firefighter! Or, I should say, a group of firefighters. They didn’t know where Nala had come from so they took her to the county animal shelter in their fire truck. I was devastated and couldn’t sleep when I realized Nala was lost. Then, at 7:00 a.m. the next day, I received a call. Keeping my information up-to-date with PetLink meant they had no trouble contacting me. A representative told me that my girl, Nala, had been found and allowed me to speak with the shelter to hear where she was. It was the best news I could have had and then Nala and I were reunited! Nala had only been wearing her vet tag but had no visible personal information, so the microchip was the best thing that could have happened to her! Thank you, PetLink, for helping me find my companion!
