My husband and I are going to move to Japan and Harley’s going to come with us. We are busy travelling back and forth and setting up our new home so, until January, when all her tests will be done, Harley is staying with my sister. When Harley ran away we were already in Japan, out of the country. Using her PetLink profile and with my sister’s help, we put up posters to say she was lost. The posters showed Harley’s distinctive markings – she has a black dot on her tail. My sister went to all the shelters to look for Harley. A family happened to see Harley out on a busy road and picked her up and took care of her for two days. The following day, using the microchip to identify her, we were reunited. We are firm believers in getting your pet microchipped. My husband even placed a thankful message on Facebook suggesting that everyone should microchip their pet.
