Our Bloodhound escapee, Sampson, broke a couple of fence panels in the back yard and went for a stroll. When my wife went out front to leave, there he was at the front door with a piece of pizza in his mouth – and a smile – wagging his tail! Well, she put him in our heated sunroom with the doors shut so he couldn’t get out again while she ran errands. About an hour later, both she and I both received emails and phone calls stating that our pup was jailed at our local county pen for somehow escaping again.
The escape from that room still remains a mystery but PetLink was quick to report where Sampson was. The county also called us having been given our information by the PetLink registry. So, before we were even able to start worrying about Sampson and whether he was OK we were notified that he was missing. Instead of a long worrisome experience, we found out he was gone and where he was at the same time! We bailed Sampson out and brought him back to his happy home, safe and sound. We are grateful that we have Sampson chipped and registered with PetLink. And so is he!
