My dogs had been let outside within a gated area. Unfortunately, the person who let them out forgot about them. It was just for five minutes, but even that was too long. The dogs broke through a weak part in the fence and, while two of them stayed by the house, Tobie, our Chihuahua, ran down the street about five blocks. A nice couple saw Tobie on the loose and they were frightened when he almost got hit by two cars. They took him in and called animal control where Tobie was kept in doggy jail. He did not have his harness on with his tags but they checked him for a chip, which they found, and contacted PetLink. PetLink sent me an email right away. I received this at work and had no idea my baby was even lost. It was very cold out, near zero degrees so Tobie must have been freezing as well as terrified. PetLink gave me the number I needed to call in order to be reunited with my little one. He was crying when he saw me and leaped into my arms. If Tobie hadn’t been chipped we wouldn’t have been reunited so quickly. I am so grateful we had him chipped five years ago. It was the first time we had to use it but it was so worth it. Thank you, PetLink!
