My cat, Dexter, wandered away down to the river, about five blocks from our house and about half a mile away. Dexter was gone for ten days and we had almost given up on him coming back. Fortunately, he was found by a caregiver working for the local feral cat colony. She recognized him as a new cat and when he came right up to her she knew he was not, in fact, feral. She took him to the local cat rescue where they scanned him and we were reunited! We are very happy Dexter is home! Many thanks go out to the caregiver and to PetLink – what a technological miracle your microchip is! Thanks so much!
