Due to being a high-energy breed, we allow our cats access to roam outside. Vin didn?t return for several weeks, we looked for her with no luck. We had assurance that since she was chipped, we would be contacted if she was found. We have owned her for 5.5 years and never had an issue, we did not know we had the ability to report her missing via Petlink. It turns out she has been stolen, as somebody attempted to transfer ownership. We were never contacted when she was found. We contested the transfer of ownership, but Petlink would not share information on who found her. We are currently trying to fill a police report to obtain contact information for whoever has our cat, since apparently that is the only way to get the contact information on who has her.
