Our cat, Blinky, is completely blind but extremely adventurous. One day she snuck out the front door unbeknownst to us and she didn’t come home. The next afternoon our vet called as someone had brought Blinky in, and once they had scanned her chip the vet knew who to call. Blinky had somehow wandered several blocks away and walked into an office! Thankfully they brought her to the nearest vet for safe-keeping until we could collect her. Blinky will not tolerate any collar as a remnant of her early life as a street kitten. The chip was the only option for us to give her an identity if she ever wandered off.
The power of the chip is amazing! Read more
