As we drove, Coco, our Labrador Retriever, stepped on the window switch, clicking the rear window open all the way. Coco leaned on the glass and slipped out quietly. Thank heaven for the two angels who saw Coco and helped her. These kind folks cared for Coco while we were unaware that she was even missing! In fact, when we got home, to our horror Coco was not in the truck with us. We prayed she was OK and returned to the spot where she might have fallen out. Coco was nowhere to be seen but then, a man who had seen her fall from our truck pulled up. He was one of the angels who had taken Coco to the house of a woman, the second angel, who had taken Coco in until we returned to look for her.
Coco was only bruised a bit and we were soon together again. I knew that because of Coco’s PetLink microchip, I could contact someone who could help us. In the back of my mind I was aware that someone kind would take Coco to be checked for a chip and that, even if we had to wait a few days, we would be reunited. I had that peace in my heart.
